In keeping with the goal of reducing the global annual rise in temperature to less than 2 °C, GPM has worked hard in recent years in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy conservation. In 2021, GPM will start the construction of our solar powerproject. It is hoped that through this plan, the impact on the environment will be reduced and we can fight against climate change. GPM is introduce ISO14064-1:2018 in 2022, gradually review greenhouse gas emissions, and plan a planned carbon reduction plan.
Power consumption statistics
  • The electricity consumption in 2024 will only increase slightly compared to 2023 due to the addition of the Kaohsiung office, which shows that energy efficiency management is effective.
Energy management
  • Monthly regular energy saving meeting & energy saving proposal improvement mechanism.
  • Join EARTH HOUR.
  • Paste glass insulation paper to reduce sunlight exposure and reduce air conditioning energy consumption.
  • Air conditioning set temperature 26°C~28°C,limited opening time
  • Replace 220 traditional office lamps with LED lamps by 2024.
Greenhouse Gas
  • ISO14064-1:2018 coaching will take place in 2021, with external validation completed in 2022、2023、2024
  • Plan year-by-year carbon reduction plans.
  • Replacing older equipment to reduce carbon emissions
  • Continuous research and development of carbon reduction machines.
  • Factory equipment performance optimization:
  • a. Circulating water pump replacement >> high-efficiency unit and frequency conversion (ice water pump, cooling water pump, cooling water tower fan) b. The air-conditioned ice and water zone in the factory is divided into 7 independent areas It can save 3.26% of electricity; 82,000 kWh/year, reducing electricity bills by about 530,000 yuan/year.
Solar energy system
  • Started the construction of the solar energy system in August 2020.
  • Estimated average annual power generation of 1,341,490 kWh.
  • Estimated annual carbon reduction of about 820,985 kg, which is equivalent to 81,302 trees planted annually, which is equivalent to the carbon adsorption capacity of 42 Daan Parks in 20 years.
